To become a car courier, you’ll need a reliable car, a smartphone with a data plan, and a thermal-grade delivery bag. While signing up, you’ll also be required to provide necessary documents such as a driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration info.
As an independent contractor, you’re responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This may include obtaining additional permits, insurance, certifications and business licenses to deliver food and drinks as a courier.
While signing up, you have the option to pick your vehicle type. If you select and get activated for both car and bike deliveries, you’ll receive scheduled delivery runs and have the option to pick up open delivery runs for both vehicle types. Bike delivery is not yet available in every delivery zone. If bike delivery is available in your region, the vehicle type will appear as an option when signing up.
We encourage all couriers to prioritise their safety while delivering on the Just Eat Network. As an independent contractor, you exercise your discretion on whether or not you’d like to conduct deliveries in varying weather conditions. You also maintain the ability to accept or decline offers and drop, end, or pick up delivery runs at any time.
