As a courier on the Just Eat Network, you have the freedom to customize your schedule and be your own boss.
Here are some scheduling basics to get you started:
Weekly Published Schedule
Courier schedules for upcoming weeks are published every Thursday. The delivery runs that you will receive will be based on your availability, so you should submit your weekly availability by 11:59 pm on Wednesdays.
A typical delivery run ranges from three to five hours. Setting your availability doesn’t guarantee that you'll receive delivery runs for all of your available hours.
Our system automatically balances the number of couriers scheduled with the expected weekly volume of orders.
Nevertheless, you always have the option to pick up open delivery runs in the Courier App to keep making money on your own terms.
Confirming delivery runs
You can access your upcoming delivery runs in the 'My Delivery Runs' tab in the Courier App. For both scheduled and open delivery runs, it’s best to confirm delivery runs within 48 hours of the start time.
To confirm your runs, go to the ‘My Delivery runs’ tab and tap on the checkmark located on the right of the delivery run. Once prompted, tap on ‘Confirm Delivery run’. It’s that easy.
As a best practice, check the Courier App regularly to pick up open delivery runs or confirm existing ones.
Dropping Delivery Runs
You can drop any delivery run directly in the Courier App. Here’s how:
- Head to the ‘My Delivery Runs’ tab in the app to see your upcoming delivery runs.
- Tap on the ‘X’ icon located on the right side of each delivery run block.
- Tap on the ‘Drop Delivery Run’ button.
Delivery Run Extensions
Based on demand, Just Eat may offer couriers currently on a delivery run the opportunity to extend their delivery run.
Towards the end of your delivery run, you may see an option to extend your delivery run if your delivery zone is busy. To accept the extension, you can tap on your zone and select your end time.
Ending Your Delivery Run
As a courier delivering on the Just Eat Network, you can end your delivery run whenever you want. To do so, tap on the three vertical dots located at the top right corner of the app and then press ‘End Delivery Run’.
Accessing Custom Delivery Runs
If you do not have an upcoming delivery run, change your status from “Offline” to “Available” whenever you are available to take orders. If additional couriers are required, all you have to do is tap on the zone map, pick your start and end time and accept the custom delivery run.
Didn't Receive Delivery Runs
The courier schedule is determined automatically by our system and is based on anticipated order volume and your availability for the upcoming week. If you didn’t get scheduled for a delivery run and want to complete deliveries, you can do so by:
- Setting your status to ‘Available’ to be notified when a custom delivery run becomes available in your zone.
- Checking the open delivery runs tab for available delivery runs.
